Supplementary Resources for the Elementary and Special Needs Classrooms
McGraw-Hill Ryerson is proud to offer quality supplemental resources from SRA/McGraw-Hill, Wright Group, and MacMillan/McGraw-Hill. Many of these lines offer alternatives to provincially approved lists and provide solutions to students with special needs.
SRA/McGraw-Hill has been in Canadian classrooms for over 40 years, successfully teaching students to read with Direct Instruction programs such as Reading Mastery and Corrective Reading. Wright Group has one of the largest collections of Big Books and Levelled Readers in the industry. MacMillan/McGraw-Hill's Music, Health and Language Arts programs complete our offerings for the elementary classroom. Full-Day Kindergarten Coming to BC, Ontario, and PEI
Several provinces have recently announced their intention to introduce full-day kindergarten in many of their schools. The What Works Clearinghouse, a compendium of research in North America, determined that well researched and well defined programs, such as Wright Group's Doors to Discovery, can have potentially positive effects on oral language and print knowledge.
McGraw-Hill Ryerson has put together a list of products proven to be effective in the classroom to assist with the resource requirements for the new full-day kindergarten classrooms. Click on the cover to view each catalogue.
